Thank you for selecting MLK Events for your event. To ensure a clear understanding and successful event execution, please carefully review the following terms and conditions. Your booking signifies your acknowledgment and agreement to these terms.
1. General Agreement
This service and rental agreement governs the rental of services and equipment provided by MLK Events, operating under the registered business name "MLK Events" (ABN: 56 199 510 491).
2. Reservation Policy
Advance reservations are strongly recommended. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event date. Subject to availability, same-day rentals may be accommodated.
3. Modifications and Cancellations
Each reservation permits one date alteration. For cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the event, a 20% refund of the total payment will be issued. Cancellations within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.
4. Rental Terms
Pricing is quoted for a single rental period, as specified in the item listing, based on the rental dates. Items for weekend events may be collected as early as Friday and must be returned by the following Monday. For extended rental periods, please contact us for customized rates. A late return fee (typically 50% of the hire bond) may be applied for each day equipment is returned past the scheduled due date. Rental charges are based on the reserved dates, regardless of actual usage. Please make selections carefully.
5. Client Support
MLK Events is committed to delivering quality products and exceptional client service. We value your feedback and are available to assist with event planning. Pricing is subject to change without prior notice. We endeavor to contribute to the success of your event.
6. Responsibility for Items
Clients are required to inspect all rental items upon receipt and report any damages or discrepancies immediately. For issues arising outside of business hours, please notify us via text at 0450 493 020. Clients are responsible for the items during the rental period and must return them in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear. Charges will be applied for lost or damaged items (e.g., tears, burns, stains). Missing items returned within 10 business days will be eligible for a partial refund, less any applicable late fees.
7. Setup and Pack-Up Services
Standard delivery and collection fees do not include setup and pack-up services. Certain rental items (e.g., centerpieces, dance floors, staging, chair covers, linens) may include complimentary setup. These services must be pre-arranged.
8. Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection times are to be mutually agreed upon with MLK Events. Additional fees apply for delivery and collection services. A re-visit fee will be charged for missed delivery or collection appointments. Deliveries will be made to a designated location. Items must be returned in their original packaging. Additional charges may apply for deliveries to locations with limited access or requiring extra labor.
